Digital products and delayed payment methods
How delayed payment methods such as purchase orders and eChecks affect digital product delivery in Foxy.
When a customer pays with a delayed payment method such as a purchase order, an eCheck, or a bank payment through ACH, Foxy cannot verify payment in real time. As a result, digital product download links are not included in the initial receipt.
Purchase orders
For purchases made with a purchase order, you will need to manually send the download links to the customer once the order is approved. Foxy does not automate this.
eChecks (PayPal Express Checkout)
For purchases made with an eCheck through PayPal Express Checkout, once the payment clears you can resend the email receipt from the Foxy admin, which will include the download links.
ACH and bank payments
ACH behaves the same way. This covers Foxy's ACH gateways — Authorize.net ACH, Accept.blue ACH, ACH.com, Vantiv ACH, PayJunction ACH and Paperless ACH — and ACH Direct Debit through Stripe.
An ACH debit is not confirmed at checkout, so download links are withheld from the initial receipt. Foxy does not release them on its own. An ACH transaction stays pending in Foxy, and nothing later changes that.
Once you have confirmed with your gateway, or in your Stripe Dashboard, that the debit has settled, resend the email receipt from the Foxy admin using the steps below. The resent receipt includes the download links.
Your customer sees a note on the receipt saying their download links will follow by email once the payment is confirmed. Resending the receipt is what delivers them.
